Conversion to an Open-Ended Fund:

Effective December 2, 2008, the capital units of Sentry Select 40 Split Income Trust were converted from a closed-end fund to a mutual fund of the same name. The capital units of Sentry Select 40 Split Income Trust were de-listed from the TSX on November 24, 2008. This conversion did not result in a disposition of capital units previously held. The ACB Tracking data base contains the return of capital data for this fund up until December 2, 2008. ACB Tracking does not track ACBs for open end funds. Subsequent tax information must be obtained directly from the fund manager.
